First UM Preschool gets new director

First United Methodist Preschool is pleased to announce the addition of Shanay Taylor to the position of preschool administrator.

Taylor brings an abundance of experience and education to the role, as she is licensed in elementary education and early childhood education, with endorsements in pre-kindergarten special education and reading pre-3.

She has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and has completed additional coursework to enhance her knowledge of children’s literature, psychology of gender roles, teaching gifted children, and behavioral and emotional disorders.

On a personal note, Taylor is the proud mother of three fantastic children she shares with Dr. Darrin Taylor.  She enjoys dance, biking, hiking, and traveling …”family stuff”.

First United Methodist Preschool is very excited to welcome Taylor to her new position, since she brings so much knowledge, passion, and creativity to the preschool. She is centered in Christ and is excited to share her love of Him with the children of the preschool … something not available in the public system.

The preschool is currently accepting preschool registrations for the 2012-2013 school year. It offers classes for 3 and 4 year olds and Pre-K. To register a child, call the church office at 419.238-0631.
