Dorcas M. Blackmore
Dorcas M. Blackmore, 70, of Van Wert, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born August 3, 1941, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Charles Gyer and Mildred Mae (Robeson) Blackmore.
Dorcas worked as a terminal manager for several trucking companies.
Survivors include seven siblings, Jack (Gwenda) Blackmore of Van Wert, Carolyn (Rex) Coil of Springfield, Nancy Lewis of Van Wert, Phyllis (Phillip) Holmes of Ohio City, Donald (Barbara) Blackmore of Van Wert, Pam Dellinger of Van Wert, and William “Willy” (Edie) Blackmore of Florida; 17 nieces and nephews, Tammy Tribolet, Tim Blackmore, Jeff Blackmore, Greg Blackmore, Matt Blackmore, Emily Blackmore, Laura Hufford, Beth Brandenberg, Shelley Lewis, Brent Blackmore, Cheri Kimmel, Chuck Rollins, David Rollins, Jeremy Rollins, Joel Rollins, Steven Blackmore and Brad Blackmore; and many great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
A sibling (in infancy), and one nephew, Michael James Rollins, also preceded her in death.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating.
Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
