Pregnancy Life Center given CD profits

A CD entitled A Child of God has been released by Council 6034 of the Knights of Columbus. The song was composed by Cathy Steffan for the pro-life movement. It is the story of an unborn child pleading to be born and the mother responding with love. The CD is sung by Mia Keirns, mezzo-soprano, and Mary Fallis, contralto, a mother-daughter duo. The recording was made at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center with Hugh Saunier as sound technician.

All donations for the CD will benefit the Van Wert Pregnancy Life Center. The initial award is $500.00. The CD will be available at Saturday’s Walk for Life, which will be held at Fountain Park with registration at 8:30 a.m. The Pregnancy Life Center provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support to young mothers and mothers-to-be.

The CD can also be obtained by contacting K of C officers, Jeff McIntosh, grand knight, and Joe Steffan, financial secretary, or at the St. Mary of the Assumption parish office during regular business hours.

Joe Steffan, financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council 6034, presents a $500 donation to Trina Langdon, director of the Pregnancy Life Center, and Mia Keirns, member of the board of directors; Cathy Steffan, Mary Fallis.
