Heartland Patriots set August meeting
Information submitted
The August meeting of the Van Wert County Heart Land Patriots will be held Tuesday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. at First Friends Church, 202 S. Franklin St. (corner of Franklin and Central Avenue), in Van Wert.
Agenda items include scheduling the participation and activities of the group’s Van Wert County Fair booth, geared to registering new voters as well as educating and motivating the general electorate to prompt a huge turnout for this November’s critical presidential election.
In addition to the selection of a new president, voters who are hoping to solve the logjam that is the current state of affairs in both houses of Congress must press to elect a socially and fiscally conservative U.S. House and Senate.
Ohio has a great opportunity to turn its second U.S. Senate seat into a voice for conservative reason, socially and morally, with the exciting candidacy of Josh Mandel, current Republican Ohio state treasurer. The Patriots hope to give Van Wert County residents greater exposure to Mandel at the group’s fair booth and at other Van Wert County venues.
Next Tuesday’s agenda will also include a presentation by Lisa Rahrig of Delphos, who provides leadership in the Faith 4 Freedom rallies that are spreading across the country. These non-denominational rallies are led by a huge cross-section of people with a burden to motivate the electorate to make choices this fall to insure that the religious freedoms Americans richly enjoy do not systematically disappear when viciously attacked by determined hostile governmental bureaucracies.
