Early childhood education available

Information submitted

The right preschool experience can give children the head start they need to be academically and socially ready for kindergarten. This happens by laying a foundation of social skills, knowledge and self-confidence that paves the way for their future learning.

Kids Learning Place in Van Wert County has home based federally funded program openings.  To be included a child must be between birth to three years old and the family must meet federal income guidelines.  The home base program at Kids Learning Place provides that “right” early childhood experiences, which includes:

  • Teachers with degrees that visit the family once a week with learning activities
  • Periodic group socialization meetings with parents and child
  • Accepting children with special needs
  • Individualized services for children and families
  • Developmental testing throughout the year
  • Valuing and encouraging parent participation

Kids Learning Place in Van Wert also offers part day funded program openings for children between three to five years old.  Again the family must meet federal income guidelines.  Both programs provide services to children of families that are homeless and children with disabilities are considered without income restrictions

Be sure a child gains the knowledge to succeed in school!  For more information or to enroll in the early childhood education programs call our toll free number 866.627.4557 for immediate contact; also check the Web site at www.councilonruralservices.org.
