Cheryl S. Hayes

Cheryl S. Hayes, 62, of Van Wert, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born July 14, 1948, in Sweetwater, Tenn., the daughter of the late Kenneth Sewell and June (Alexander) Sewell Harrison. On September 6, 1975, she married Dick Hayes, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two daughters, Amber D. (Chuck) Evans of Van Wert and Tiffany J. (Joe) Hudson of Convoy; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Steve Robinson and Deacon John Rager officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, and noon-2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
