HAZEL MARIE SCHWAB WINNER

Hazel Marie Schwab Winner, 94, of Cecil, died Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Gardens of Paulding.

She was born August 14, 1916, in Defiance County, the daughter of the late George Lee and Sara Ella (Johnson) Caryer. In 1934, she married Henry E. Schwab, who preceded her in death on February 20, 1972. On September 23, 1973, she married Basil B. Winner, who preceded her in death on November 20, 1982.

Survivors include three children, Donnave Cooper of Arlington, Texas, Delmar (Karen) Schwab of Payne and Duane (Bonnie) Schwab of Cecil; three stepchildren, Ron (Erlene) Winner of Paulding, Jim Winner of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Susan (Bob) Schmunk of Ann Arbor, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Robert and Leo Caryer; three sisters, Violet Winebriner, Virginia Coon and Valene Sailer; and two grandsons, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 6, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in Rochester Cemetery in Cecil.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Paulding County Senior Center or Mark Center United Methodist Church.
