VWCH plans cancer survivors meeting

Van Wert County Hospital Physical Rehabilitation, in coordination with the American Cancer Society, would like to invite all types of cancer survivors, their families and caregivers to the Thrive Cancer Survivor meeting.

This free monthly program is designed to challenge and empower cancer survivors to not just survive, but to thrive in mind, body and spirit. The next meeting is Thursday, January 13, at 6 p.m., at Calvary Evangelical Church. The church is located at 10686 Van Wert-Decatur Road.

Guest speaker for the January program is Angel DeLong, a certified Yoga for Cancer Survivors instructor at Wellness to the Core Fitness Studio in Celina. DeLong will be demonstrating basic yoga stretches and poses for cancer survivors and their caregivers/supporters of all ages and fitness levels.

The topic for the February 10 meeting will be art therapy.  Meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of every month, including February 10 and March 10.
