Samuel E. Lichtenberger

Samuel E. Lichtenberger, 67, of Wren, died at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born May 4, 1943, in Wren, the son of the late Dallas Harold and Nellie (Burk) Lichtenberger. He married Catherine (Stidham) Lichtenberger, who survives in Wren.

Other survivors include two children, Leslie Lynn Lichtenberger of Paulding and Daryl E. (Brittany) Lichtenberger of Van Wert; three stepchildren, Timothy Carpenter of Washington Court House, Pepper Dawn (Gene) Rodman of Van Wert and Joey Densel of Scott; two brothers, John (Wilma) Lichtenberger and Charles (Rose Elaine) Lichtenberger, both of Wren; three grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Eddie Dean Lichtenberger; two stepchildren; and a twin brother, Donald Eugene Lichtenberger, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 21, at the funeral home.
