Jefferson Power Club winner

Jefferson Elementary Principal Kevin Gehres announced the recent winner of its Walking Program "Power Club". Third and Fourth grade students are encouraged to choose to walk on the track during their recess times, as part of Jefferson's Wellness Committee's program to get kids moving and challenging them to lead healthier lifestyles. Students walk during their recess times and then for each day they walk, they place a ticket in a container. At the end of each week a name is drawn out and the winner receives a reward. Shown above is Gehres as he presents a Walmart gift card to Bailey Day, a fourth grader in Amy Honigford's classroom.
