Leadership Class sets fundraising event

The Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce 2011 Leadership Class will be holding a cornhole tournament fundraiser on Saturday, February 5, at 10 a.m., at the YWCA of Van Wert County.

The tournament fee is $20 per team with a cash payout and double elimination. The event also will include a 50/50 drawing and available concessions sponsored by Walmart of Van Wert.  This is a family friendly event. Feel free to bring the kids! All participants must be age 14 or older to play.

All proceeds received will be used toward the class project. This year’s project is sponsorship of a presentation by dynamic speaker Josh Gunderson that will educate Van Wert Middle School and High School students on the impact of cyber bullying.

Pre-register by calling the YWCA at 419.238.6639 by Wednesday, February 2.  The Leadership Class also welcomes registration the day of the event, which will begin at 9 that morning and end at 9:30 a.m.
