Sparkin’ it up with sports

After a long week of studying and exams Crestview is now headed into the first week of the third nine weeks. After starting late in September and pushing hard to keep the school spirit high students are relieved to be nearly finished with their exams and start a fresh new quarter.

Senior Jessica Burger commented on exams: “ Exams weren’t too bad, I really enjoy the new schedule and even with starting later than normal everything turned out smoothly.”
Starting January 21 at 10 a.m., the junior high boys’ basketball team kicks off with the Wendy’s Northwest Conference Junior High Tournament. This event goes on every Saturday of the month for three weeks, ending on February 19. The boys have prepared and have started getting their mindset on the win.

Mitchell Rickard said: “I’m just ready to play, I’m ready to get the win and move onto the next round.”

Also to finish up with sports, the girls’ junior varsity basketball team, along with the varsity girls’ team, both have games this week, February 1, at home against Antwerp High School and on February 3 at Bluffton High School.

Come out and support the girls both nights and show them the school spirit that Crestview has!
