Donald B. Grimes

Donald B. Grimes, 91, of Paulding, died Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Community Health Professionals’ Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born May 6, 1919, in Oakwood, the son of the late Frank and Myrta (Adams) Grimes. On August 17, 1957, he married Anna L. (Pack) Grimes, who preceded him in death on May 23, 1998.

Survivors include two brothers, John Grimes of Defiance and Archie (Carol) Grimes of Jewell; and two sisters, Elsie M. Harshman of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Laura Bosh of Defiance.

Two brothers, Robert and Verlin Grimes, and a sister, Lois Heilshorn, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 6, at Paulding Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in Hedges Cemetery in Paulding County.

Calling hours are 3-7 p.m. Saturday, February 5, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Sunday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Paulding Church of the Nazarene or Paulding County Senior Center.
