St. John’s coaching legend Arnzen dies

DELPHOS — The area sports world mourned the death of St. John’s basketball coaching legend Bob Arnzen, who died Wednesday at the age of 83.
Arnzen coached and taught at Delphos St. John’s for 43 years and served as that city’s parks director for 37 years.
He also was elected to the school’s Hall of Fame and was one of the founding members of the District 8 Coaches Association and was secretary-treasurer of the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association.
Survivors include his wife, Alice, two sons and three daughters (see obituaries page for more information).
