The 12th annual American Red Cross Blood Drive held at Crestview was again extremely successful. According to the Red Cross, the event, under the direction of Keith Langdon and the Crestview High School National Honor Society, set a new Crestview record with 126 units of blood. This amount was 11 units over the goal of the drive, which was 115 units. Because of the success of the drive, the Red Cross is now donating a $500 scholarship to a Crestview senior. The NHS and American Red Cross would like to thank all of the students, staff, and community members who donated their time and gave the gift of life. Over the event’s 12 years of existence, the Crestview community has donated 1,240 unit of blood, potentially saving thousands of lives.
