Convoy sets village planning meeting

CONVOY – There is an important planning meeting for all Convoy residents scheduled for Tuesday, February 22, at 7 p.m. at the Edgewood Park Building, 643 N. Main St.

This will be an informative meeting, with grant writer Ron Putoff explaining the process for Convoy Village Council to begin applying for grant money through the state-funded Community Development Block Grant Revitalization Program.

The Ohio Department of Transportation has scheduled Ohio 49, through Convoy, for resurfacing in 2012. This meeting is to involve the residents in the planning of some future needs of the village. This is the first of five meetings that will be held as a requirement of the grant, so village officials encourage Convoy residents to attend. The more residents that sign in will help with the grant scoring, showing the grant review board that the village residents are willing participate in the planning for the future.  Your presence will help the village in the application process, with the possibility of being able to do more projects within the village.
