Alene Marie Grothouse

Alene Marie Grothouse, 81, of Delphos, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Vancrest Healthcare Center in Delphos.

She was born January 13, 1930, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Luella (Kehres) Grothouse.

Survivors include a brother, Donald (Frances) Grothouse of Delphos; seven nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Mildred Noonan and Doris Klausing; and two brothers-in-law, Louis Noonan and Ralph Klausing, also preceded her in death.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the church.
