“This grant will strengthen this community’s level of preparedness and ability to respond to fire and fire-related dangers.  The health and safety of the public and that of emergency personnel will be further protected with this funding.”

The Department of Homeland Security’s Assistance to Firefighters Grant program is an important component of America’s effort to reinforce the overall capacity of the nation to respond to fire emergencies.  The program is made in cooperation with the Department’s Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Fire Administration.
