St. Mary’s annual auction coming up
This weekend, St. Mary of the Assumption Church and School will hold their annual fundraising auction. The auction will be held Saturday, March 5, at 5 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Several valuable items will be auctioned off to support St. Mary’s.
Greve Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep has donated a red 1999 Chrysler 300M. The car is fully loaded, in excellent condition and was sold and maintained at Greve’s. It has 138,000 miles on it and is valued at more than $4,000.

There is also a porcelain tea set with an estimated value of $900 that will go to one lucky bidder. Among the silent auction items are tickets to attractions such as Kings Island, The Indianapolis Zoo, The Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Science Central and many more. Several area businesses have also generously donated gift certificates for the event.
The theme for the evening is Mardi Gras and there will be a meal served beginning at 5 p.m. Several raffles will be held throughout the evening, for cash prizes and a Kindle.
Tickets for the meal are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The evening’s menu includes fried chicken, au gratin potatoes, chicken and rice gumbo, red beans and rice as well as a salad bar and various desserts.
All proceeds from the auction will go to benefit St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School.
