Extension offering livestock QA events
Quality Assurance is a state-required training program for any 4-H or FFA member exhibiting Junior Fair livestock (except rabbits, and The Ohio State University Extension is hosting a total of three QA events at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds this year.
The first of those events is this Sunday March 6, starting at 2 p.m. For those planning the participate, the Washington Street fairgrounds gate will be closed and they should enter at the gate off Balyeat Avenue.
4-H or FFA members must register at the Junior Fair Building or the Extension Office when they arrive the day of the event. Further instructions will be provided at that time.
QA test-out will be offered, starting at 1 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building. Other dates for Quality Assurance events are Sunday, April 3, starting at 2 p.m., and Thursday, April 14, starting at 6:30 p.m.
A test-out option is offered one hour prior to start of each event.
