Child endangerment trial

Van Wert Detective Sergeant Jeff Blackmore testifies during the trial of David Darst, who is accused of injuring his son, Logan, on April 22, 2010, causing serious injuries. The child was later removed from the custody of Darst and his wife, Latricia, and died in January of this year, but not from the injuries the prosecution said Darst inflicted on the boy. The three-day trial will likely conclude today, with closing arguments scheduled for this morning, after which the case will go to the six-man, six-woman jury for their deliberations.
