Jennie Irene Yakos

Jennie Irene Yakos, 85, of Van Wert, died at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born January 6, 1926, in Millbury, the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Konecny) Motycka. On November 20, 1948, she married Joe Yakos, who survives in Van Wert.

Jennie was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Warren) Madden of Kennesaw, Ga.; one sister, Mary Motycka of Napoleon; a sister-in-law, Anne Maxson-Boudreaux of Easley, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

Two sisters, Agnes Fox and Elizabeth Horak, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, March 7, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Ron Lumm officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
