National Chamber award winner

P&R now in running for Community Excellence Award

The Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Small Business of the Year” could also be the U.S. Chamber’s top small business if local residents go online to vote for P&R Medical Connection.

The 25-year-old company, whose owners, Robin and Phil Farris, literally began their medical supply and services business in their home, received the local Chamber small business award last year from then-Chamber President Mark Schumm (see photo above).

The local Chamber then nominated P&R for the national award and Chamber President/CEO Kate Gribble said Friday that the local firm is one of 75 businesses in the country to earn a prestigious Blue Ribbon Award from the national Chamber.

Winning the award also puts the company in line for a Community Excellence Award, which is based strictly on online votes.
