Rotary Club to have Ag Day speaker

Van Wert Rotary Club will be holding an Ag Day meeting on Tuesday, March 15, to commemorate Ag Week.  The speaker for the day will be Cassie Jo Arend, communications coordinator for Cooper Farms. Arend’s job is to help hog and turkey farmers tell their story, and she is dedicated to telling the story, since she knows that Ohio’s farm families are committed to doing what’s right to put safe and wholesome food on customers’ tables.

Arend earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University and is responsible for both the internal and external communications of Cooper Farms.

Van Wert Rotary Club’s meeting will be held at 11:45 a.m. at Willow Bend Country Club.  Anyone interested in attending the meeting may make reservations by contacting Linda Stutz at 419.238.2901 by March 11.    The cost of the meal is $8.25 and is payable at the door.
