Earlier this week, students in Van Wert City Schools’ fourth grade enrichment class got a chance to see what a court trial is really like, as students first toured Van Wert Municipal Court and then held a mock trial titled, “State vs. Goldilocks.” Students played the roles of judge, defense attorneys, prosecutors, witnesses, court bailiff and jury during the trial. The jury also heard several witnesses, including three members of the Bear Family. Students from Van Wert High School’s TV Production Class also covered the event for Channel 6.
