Several meetings to be held tonight

Legislation concerning a proposed beer concession at the Van Wert County Regional Airport as part of the Wheels-N-Wings festival will have at least one more round of discussion during a committee-of-the-whole meeting to be held at 6 p.m. today in Van Wert City Council Chambers, 515 E. Main St.

City Council will discuss a planned amendment to the legislation that would allow the measure to be voted off the agenda during tonight’s regular Council meeting, which begins at 7:30 p.m. today.

Council’s Streets and Alleys Committee will also meet at 6:30 this evening to discuss a “no parking” zone on North Franklin Street, as well as formally naming a street at the Towne Center retail development.

A meeting at 7:10 this evening of the Health, Service and Safety Committee will look at regulations targeting coin-operated laundries.

All four meetings will be held in Council Chambers.

Also this evening, Crestview Local Board of Education will discuss a number of possible actions to be taken as part of the board’s regular March meeting, which begins at 6 p.m. today in the district boardroom.

One action to be considered is accepting the resignation of Trent Kreischer as district public relations person.
