Knights “enjoy” extended days

By Cody Hagaman

Last week seemed to be banquet week at Crestview. On Monday the boys’ basketball program held their banquet along with the cheerleaders. There were many awards handed out and lots of memories talked about among the players and staff. Later in the week, the FFA held their annual banquet as well.

The start of this week also started a month of extended days for Crestview Local Schools as we will be extending the day from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. We are doing this so they will not have to come back to school later than when we are to originally be released. Adding a half hour to the end of Crestview’s school for about a month will make it possible to make-up two days that we missed due to weather.

Senior Joey Overmyer said, “I am happy that Crestview is adding the extra half hour to the end of our days for a month. I like this idea because now the seniors will be able to get out on time with a signed diploma and not have to come back the extra days.”
