Lincolnview 9 loses to Fort Jennings

Fort Jennings defeated the Lincolnview varsity baseball team 14-4 in a non-league game played at Lincolnview Thursday afternoon.

The Lancers scored first in the bottom half of the first inning, but the Musketeers rallied to score 4 runs in the second and 7 runs in the third to take a 11-1 lead. Lincolnview scored 3 more in the bottom of the third to trail by seven runs, 11-4, while Fort Jennings added 3 insurance runs in the fifth inning.

The Musketeers had 13 hits in the game, while Lincolnview had 7 hits. The Lancers also had two errors, while Jennings had one.

Kyle Williams took the loss on the mound for the Lancers and is now 0-1 on the year. Jared Calvelage was the winning pitcher for the Musketeers.

Offensively for Lincolnview, Clayton Longstreth was 2 for 3 on the day, while Taylor Hoehn was 3 for 3, all singles.
