City, Hickory Sticks offer free golf lessons

Never golfed before? Want to learn? The Van Wert Parks Department, along with Hickory Sticks Golf Club, will be offering a free one-day golf clinic this summer.

Learn from the Hickory Sticks golf pro the basics of the game: hitting, driving and putting. For those who are beginning, this is a great opportunity to fine-tune their skills.

Two age divisions will be offered: Youth — ages 7-14; and Adults — ages 15 and older. The clinic will be held on July 11, from 9-11a.m. for the Youth Division and 6-8 p.m. for the Adult Division.
