Lancer baseball team defeats Antwerp

The Lincolnview Lancer baseball team defeated Antwerp 9-3 on Friday in a non-league gamed played at Lincolnview.

The Lancers had nine hits, to four for the Archers, while Antwerp committed five costly errors in the game. With the win, Lincolnview is 3-4 overall.

Clayton Longstreth (2-0) was the winning pitcher for the Lancers, pitching the entire game and garnering six strikeouts, while walking two. Coleman was the losing pitcher.

The Lancers took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, but Antwerp came back to score two runs in the second to tie the game at 2-all. Lincolnview scored a run in the second and three more in the third to take the lead for good at 6-2. Both teams scored a run in the four inning, while the Lancers added single runs in the fifth and sixth innings for the final score.
