Junior Fair Beef Clinic being offered

Purina Mills Show Chow, Mercer Landmark and Van Wert County 4-H present a Beef Clinic featuring Bob May this Saturday, April 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds. The event is open to the public (all ages) and free. Donations accepted to benefit the Van Wert County Junior Fair Board members working the day of the event.

The event’s featured speaker, Bob May, will be covering the areas of preparation for the show: buying clipping supplies, a full clipping demonstration, nutrition from Purina Mills representative Jay Hathaway, show day fitting and a showmanship demonstration. May is the owner/operator of Bob May Cattle Company in Mineral Point, Wis.

White’s Show Supplies will be available for the day, with new sale items being offered the day of  the event. Blade sharpening is available to those interested.
