“Seasons” monthly competition results
By Rex Dolby
Several pictures were submitted for competition when the Camera Club met Thursday, April 14, at the Wassenberg Art Center. “Seasons” was the theme of the competition, which provided two outstanding winners.

Joe Schramm’s impressive fall picture of the Bald River Falls in eastern Tennessee was picked as the best print. Joe said this 100 ft. falls is located near Tellico Plains, Tennessee, and is easy to find.
Jodi Hattery’s photo of a brilliant cardinal sitting on a branch as small flakes of snow drift down won the slide category. She said that the bird was sitting in her neighbor’s back yard and it took several tries before she achieved this picture with a 300mm lens.
In other business, Jan Sorensen reported that 14 photographers had come to their house Saturday, March 26, to shoot the various setups she and Bill, Dick Rohr, and Joe Schramm had assembled. They were complimented for their

hospitality and work that went into creating the event.
Treasurer Karl Gribler announced that he has not had any money turned in yet from the sale of the club’s $5 Food Discount Cards. He stressed that we need to step up the sales in order to be able to cover the club’s expenses for the Wassenberg’s 34th Annual October Photography Exhibit.
President Hattery distributed a sheet with six different options for what the entry fees might be for the exhibit and what possible income they might generate in comparison with last year’s fees and participation. She asked that we study the options and be prepared to recommend one at the next meeting, which will be at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at the Wassenberg Art Center, 643 S. Washington St., Van Wert. Hattery said this meeting will be be a business meeting to prepare a budget and club recommendations concerning the October show for the Wassenberg board.
