VW Parks Dept. resets Easter egg hunt

The Van Wert Parks Department has rescheduled the city’s annual Easter egg hunt.

The event, scheduled for this Saturday, April 23, has been postponed to Sunday, May 1, starting at 2 p.m., at Smiley Park.

The postponement is because the ballfields are wet from recent rains, while further rain is in the forecast for Friday evening. If rain continues fall in the area during the next week, the Parks Department will proceed on April 31 with a drive-through event, which will take place at the Leeson Avenue east parking lot. Cars will be asked to enter the drive in a counter-clockwise fashion.
