Rosario G. Contreras

Rosario G. Contreras died at her Van Wert residence at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011.

She was born January 9, 1965, in Van Wert, the daughter of Jesus Contreras, who survives in San Antonio, Texas, and the late Rita G. Sanchez. She married Joel Moctezuma, who preceded her in death.

Ms. Contreras was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert and had worked several years at Cooper Foods in Van Wert. She adored her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is also survived by her children, Victoria A. Ellerbrock, Veronica Cuevas, Vanessa Cuevas and Jose Cuevas; four grandchildren, Arianna L. Adkins, Alysia L. Adkins, Aiden R. Ellerbrock and Annalise L. Sanchez; four brothers, John (Becky) Contreras, Jesus (Diana) Contreras, Robert (Rickie) Contreras and Jose (Jessica) Sanchez; a sister, Jenoveva Hernandez; and 18 nieces and nephews.

A son, Javier Cuevas (in infancy); a son-in-law, Trevor Ellerbrock; one aunt, Connie Sanchez; and one uncle, Santiago Garcia, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 1, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, where a parish rosary service will be held at 8 that evening.
