Evergreen Garden Club to sell perennials

The Evergreen Garden Club will host a perennial plant sale in Fountain Park, starting at 8 a.m. this Saturday, May 7. Fountain Park is located at the corner of Main and Jefferson streets in downtown Van Wert, just south of Brumback Library.

Perennial plants will be dug from garden club members’ own gardens and sold at very reasonable prices. A large selection of many different varieties of perennials will be for sale.

All proceeds from the sale will be used for civic beautification projects sponsored by Evergreen Garden Club. Some of those projects include decorating Brumback Library for Christmas, Fountain Park plantings, the herb garden at the Van Wert County Historical Museum and maintaining a friendship garden at the YMCA’s Camp Clay.
