Frances G. Baum

Frances G. Baum, 91, of Van Wert, died at 8:32 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born June 22, 1919, in Peru, Ind., the daughter of the late George W. Sr. and Matilda (Kurtz) Becker. On May 30, 1951, she married Richard J. Baum, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2007.

Survivors include a son, Rick J. Baum of Van Wert; one sister, Florence E. Barnes of Sebring, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A brother, George W. Becker Jr., also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

There will be no visitation.
