Eileen M. Brotherwood

Eileen M. Brotherwood, 85, of Greenville and formerly of Convoy, died at 7:56 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.

She was born July 21, 1925, in Northfleet, Kent, England, the daughter of the late Robert George and Minnie (Crowhurst) Potter. On November 20, 1948, she married P. James Brotherwood, who preceded her in death on January 7, 1993.

Survivors include five children, Nancy (Joe) Byer of Phoenix, Ariz., Janice (Kenny) Dunmire of Magnolia, Texas, Barbara (Chuck) Beck of Alexandria (Ohio), Wendall (Terri) Brotherwood of Greenville and Patricia (Mark) Hanna of Celina; a brother, Jack Potter of Belvedere, Kent, England; one sister, Doreen Smith of Northfleet, Kent, England; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A son, Robert James Brotherwood; four brothers; and one sister, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, with the Rev. Gary Exman officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

Calling hours are from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert County Relay for Life or the Resident Aide Fund at Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville.
