VWHS senior awards

Van Wert High School held its Senior Awards Convocation for the class of 2011 on Monday in the Saltzgaber Music Hall of the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. A total of 154 seniors were honored and recognized for their academic and co-curricular achievements garnered over the past four years.  As a class, VWHS seniors received approximately $2.5 million in scholarship opportunities over a four-year period during the awards program (click here for more photos). Shown are departmental award winners (front row, from the left) Megan Lawson, art; Jordan Mohr, social studies; Ben Price, instrumental music, mathematics, Spanish and science; Rebecca Davis, French; and Ashley Mohr, language arts; (back row) Amanda Kesler, German; Anthony Hauter, business and computers; Nate Simson, vocal music; Kory Smith, television production.
