Youth group to sell Peony Fest doughnuts

Buckeye Youth, a United Way agency and non-profit local youth organization, will be serving its fresh made doughnuts at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds during the Peony Festival.  Several festival events will be taking place June 2-4 at the Fairgrounds, including craft shows, garage sales, off-road vehicle competitions, a car show, flower show, concerts and a quilt show.

Buckeye Youth will have regular doughnuts with sugar, cinnamon and powdered sugar and chocolate, blueberry and cherry doughnuts. Doughnuts are $3 for half a dozen, $5 for a dozen, or 50 cents each.

These are the same great doughnuts sold at the Van Wert County Fair and Apple Festival. Stop by and support the local Buckeye Youth organization (all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday, opening at 7 a.m.).

Doughnuts may be ordered ahead by calling 419.238.3546 and placing an order by leaving a detailed message and phone number after 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and all day Saturday.
