Crestview Local Schools held a Mini-Relay for Life the last week of May in conjunction with the Van Wert County Relay for Life held at the beginning of the month. Students in grades K-12 participated in the activity. Elementary students were asked to raise $25 per class to participate and then walked various times throughout the day. The junior and senior high students were asked to donate $5 per student to walk and formed teams to compete to see who walked or ran the most laps, and also to see who made most creative costumes for their team. The event raised $3,700 to be donated to the American Cancer Society.
