County foundation elects new officers

The Van Wert County Foundation held its semiannual meeting on June 14 and elected officers for the next two years. Officers elected include Larry Greve, president; Thad Lichtensteiger, vice president; and Michael Gearhart, secretary.

Executive Secretary Larry L. Wendel also reported the following board actions:

• Approved and made distributions totaling $384,321.17 to various agencies in the Van Wert area.
• Reappointed Duane Fuerst as a director for The Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation.
• Accepted “The Iberdrola Renewables Scholarship Fund.”
• Accepted “The Ray Etzler Scholarship Fund.”
• Accepted “The John R. and Mary L. Moore Memorial Scholarship Fund.”
• Accepted “The Van Wert Tennis Complex Fund.”
• Accepted “The Niswonger Performing Arts Center Orchestra Shell Fund.”
• Accepted “The Niswonger Performing Arts Center Capital Improvement Fund.”
• Received and approved the 2010 audited Financial Report.
