Kenneth R. Osting

Kenneth R. “Kenny” Osting, 80, of Delphos, died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at the Cleveland Clinic.

He was born March 25, 1931, in Delphos, the son of the late Bernard and Eva (Kunz) Osting. In July 1951, he married Carolyn (O’Connor) Osting, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include four sons, David (Sharon) Osting of Van Wert, Kevin (Leila) Osting and Patrick (Cheri) Osting, both of Delphos, and Mark (Lisa) Osting of Kansas; two daughters, Carol (Brent) Hammons of Elida and JoAnn (Garry) Stewart of Delphos; seven grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Four brothers, Albert, Edmund, Richard and Arnold Osting, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.
