Wind energy info meeting scheduled

An informational wind energy meeting will be held Friday, July 1, at 1 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 12493 Mendon Road (just off Mendon Road south of Van Wert.

The meeting is being held by the Southern Van Wert County Wind Association, but the group’s name is now a misnomer because BP has contacted landowners beyond Van Wert County, so anyone interested in learning more about wind energy or wind land leases is welcome to attend.

There will be a box for questions so people can write questions ahead of time, or questions can be asked orally. This association is organized to help get landowners a better contract and to help people understand the long contract.
