Elks donate to CVB, airport

Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, recently donated funds raised from this year’s Wheels ‘N’ Wings Festival held in May to the Van Wert Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and Van Wert County Airport. The Elks lodge was approached by the CVB to operate a beer tent during the festival and the proceeds were to be split three ways. Instead of the lodge keeping any of the proceeds, it split its share of the profit and donated it to both the CVB and airport.
