Township recycling sked listed for July

Van Wert independent/VWSWMD information

A change in the recycling schedule due to the Independence Day holiday has been announced, along with the regular July township recycling schedule.

Residents normally receiving recycling service on Monday, July 4, will have an adjusted schedule to compensate for the Independence Day holiday.

Van Wert city residents with Monday scheduled curbside recycling service will be collected on Tuesday, July 5. Convoy residents with Monday curbside recycling service will be collected on Wednesday, July 6.

The Tully Township recycling drop-off, which normally takes place the first Monday of the month, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, July 5. The Van Wert Recycling Center/Compost Facility will also be closed on Monday for the Fourth of July holiday.

Other townships will be collected using the schedule below. Hours for township drop-off service are 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Local residents and businesses can also deliver clean recyclable materials to the recycling drive-through located at the Recycling Center on North Washington Street, just north of the U.S. interchange in Van Wert. The drive-through is normally open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and on the first and third Saturdays of each month, from 8 a.m.-noon.

Use the drive-through for large quantities of material. To see the complete listing of currently accepted materials, visit the SWMD website at www.recyclevw.org.
