Leading Lines is theme for competition

The Wassenberg Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, at the Wassenberg Art Center, 643 S. Washington St., an Wert. Leading lines will be the competition theme in prints and slides that evening. Prints are to be no larger than 4×6 inches and three prints or slides can be entered for a dollar. To encourage everyone to participate, those not entering pictures must contribute a dollar, with the money shared among the winners.
All photographers should be aware that the Southwestern Michigan Council of Camera Clubs (SWMCCC) will be holding its 37th annual Summer Weekend of Photography and Digital Imaging on the campus of Hope College in Holland, Michigan on July 28, 29, 30, and 31.
Geared to photographers of all skill levels, workshops, lectures, field trips, and special evening programs will provide a wealth of information and experiences. Photographers have the options of signing up for the entire weekend, individual days, or Thursday & Friday or Saturday & Sunday. Lodging on campus will be in the air conditioned Cook Hall or the Haworth Inn and Conference Center. Near by motels and campgrounds are also available. The weekend meal package for $65 includes seven “all you’d care to eat” meals served cafeteria style.
