Jack R. Fraker

Jack R. Fraker, 70, of Middle Point, died at 10:42 a.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born August 22, 1940, in Lima, the son of the late Alton and Lionne (Ryan) Fraker. On November 23, 1960, he married Patricia (Neer) Fraker, who survives in Middle Point.

Mr. Fraker was manager of Middle Point Farmer’s Service for 33 years and retired from Scott Equity Exchange in 2010. He enjoyed auctions, antiques and his seven grandchildren. Patricia and Jack celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year with their children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three children, Gregg (life partner Michael O’Donnell) Fraker of Chicago, Ill., Kevin (Shelly) Fraker of Middle Point and Sabrina (Kent) Frey of Scott; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Stewart of Middle Point; two sisters, Cheryl Stittsworth and Shirley Miller, both of Van Wert; and seven grandchildren, Dustin, Anna, and Ryan Frey, Ethan, Kendra, Ashley and Aubrey Fraker.

A son, Brett A. Fraker, and one brother, Daryl Fraker (in infancy), also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Mark Fuerstenau officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial: Donor’s choice.
