Headed to state

The Crestview Junior Acme baseball team earned a trip to the state tournament by defeating Northmont 4-2 in the South Regional championship on Sunday at Jim Hoess Field in Celina. The Knights will now play the North Regional champion, Holland Springfield, in a best 2-out-of-3 series at Patrick Henry High School for the state championship. Game 1 will be played Saturday at 1 p.m., game 2 on Sunday at 1, and, if necessary, game 3 on Sunday afternoon at 4. Crestview stands at 20-1 on the season with its lone loss coming at the hands of Parkway in sectional tournament.
