Convoy asks residents to conserve water
CONVOY — The Village of Convoy is asking village residents to conserve water, due to the drought conditions. An adequate supply of water is necessary for public health and safety.
Because of the current heat wave, daily water usage within the village has doubled and there are concerns about the condition of the village water supply. If the excessive usage continues, a boil advisory situation may occur.
Both the Convoy Board of Public Works and Convoy Village Council are asking that village residents not use excessive amounts of water for outside use, such as watering lawns and washing vehicles, until further notice.
The Council and Fire Chief Don Wilson that village residents not have open burning during this critically dry time. Permits will be denied until further notice.
