Wren Homecoming coming in August

WREN — The Wren Homecoming celebration is coming up, including the popular Wiffleball Tournament held at Wrenway Park.

Organizers thank those who are advertising this year, but note that banners are still available for display on the Wrenway Park fence. Call 419.495.2752 for more information.

There is also still time to submit military photos for a special video to be shown during a Grand Finale Spectacular, right before the 20th Anniversary Championship Wiffleball game is played.

Girls age 1-10 can vie for the titles of Little Miss/Junior Miss Wiffleball Princess — just call the above number for an entry form.

Sign-up for the Wiffleball tournament will be held Monday, August 1, at 5 p.m. at the Wren Restaurant in downtown Wren, with the first 15 teams to play with 2010 tournament champions, The Bunnies. Last year, teams waited more than 140 hours to sign up.

There are also still a few luxury boxes available for the Saturday games. Camping will be available this year as well.

The Wiffleball tournament and many more activities and events will be held during the Wren Homecoming celebration, to be held this year from August 18-20.
